Let’s talk about an app that has been a game-changer for many dealing with mental health challenges. If you’ve ever wondered whether the Calm app is worth your time and money, you’re in the right place. Instead of just giving you a rundown of features, Alan's here to answer why he regularly turns to the Calm app and how it's benefited him.

Which app do you use and what was the reason for starting to use it?
I use the Calm app, I started using it as a recommendation from a friend who was like myself, having regular panic attacks.
Did you find it easy to navigate through the app from the start?
Absolutely. It's easily mapped out so you can find exactly what resource you need. Which is a great help as a lot of the time I went to use it, I was in the height if panic or a severe low.
What types of content do you find most helpful?
They have so many avenues, as mental health isn't a one fix for all. They have breathing exercises, daily mood check-ins, meditations, anxiety sessions, sleep stories, soundscapes
How often do you use the app?
At least twice a week. Sometimes it can be a few/to a couple of times a day, depending on my mental state.
How effective did you find the app in improving your mental wellbeing?
It has helped me immensely. It was the first time I felt I was able to stave off a panic attack. I feel indebted to the support it has given me.
Would you recommend this app to others?
100%. And I have. I have passed on some of the exercises and the app itself to others and they have all found it helpful.
Any other comments about the app that might be useful to someone thinking about trying it?
It is a subscription but it is a low amount and what you get back in return is massively worth it.
